Universal is putting a new spin to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will be helmed by Nicolas Winding. It also looks like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde will be played by Keanu Reeves.

When you need a guy to look emotionless on screen and can do great action sequences, that man is Keanu. Now don’t get me wrong, I like Keanu’s movies and he has some great movies on his belt, to name a few – Speed, The Matrix, The Replacements, The Matrix Reloaded – but I don’t really see him having the acting chops to pull off Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I should also add that Universal has another Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the works with Guillermo Del Toro. The Del Toro version will follow the Stevenson tale more closely.
