Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming action drama, Faster . The movie will reunite director Phil Joanou and Johnson, who worked together in Gridiron Gang.

Johnson will play an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist.

The only thing I have to say about this news is I’m glad Dwayne is back doing action films (hoping that he will continue after this one). For more than a decade there hasn’t been a decent action superstar and Dwayne had the potential to become one but decided to make some kiddy friendly movies. Plus I’m a sucker for heist movies so I will be definitaly keep an eye out for Faster .
