Megan who?? The new Transformers hottie who is replacing Megan Fox as the movies eyecandy will be playing Carly, an MIT graduate from what I searched on wikipedia. Here’s what JoBlo had to say:

Well IMDB currently lists her as Mikaela, but as it turns out, that’s not the case. I’m not sure if this has been reported on before, but this is the first time I’ve seen confirmation that Huntington-Whitely is playing Carly, who according to lore, eventually becomes Carly Witwicky, Sam’s wife in the Transformers animated series.

I think it’s great that they made some changes in the franchise. A part from being hot, Megan Fox didn’t really bring much to the franchise. I really doubt Rose would much better than Megan but she’s hottie and thats what Michael Bay wants from her in Transformers 3.

Christopher Nolan is officially done with Inception (if you havent seen it, whatcha waiting for !!!!) he can now move on to his next project, Batman 3. With the sequel to The Dark Knight now in play the rumors are back. The newest of these rumors is that the main villain could none other than the Riddler.

FirstShowing.net has gotten word from a reliable inside source with access to a studio casting grid that The Riddler is in fact listed as a character in the impending comic book movie sequel.

“Even more interesting, the actor currently listed in the same grid to play the assumed villain is none other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whose status is just listed as ‘interested.’”

Heath Legder stunned the shit outta everyone in this world with his unforgettable performance as the Joker. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is such a great actor and could be an awesome Riddler, there’s no doubt about that.

The Town is directed and stars Ben Affleck who plays Doug MacRay an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him. But that all changed on the gang’s latest job, when they briefly took a hostage–bank manager, Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name…and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug…not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her. The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous, and potentially deadly, path.

The movie also stars Blake Lively looking smoking hot and Jeremy Renner who is just plain awesome in everything he’s in.

The Social Network also known as The facebook movie finally gets a trailer. When they first announced that they would be making a facebook movie I wasn’t sure how a this movie would work out but after watching the trailer, I can’t wait to watch this. The directing, script and acting (even from Justin Timberlake) looks great.

Following my recent post, here’s the first look at the Fast Five cast thanks to Tyrese Gibson for tweeting some set pics. Here’s what IGN is reporting.

Actor/R&B singer, Tyrese Gibson (2 Fast 2 Furious), has given us our first look at the cast of Fast Five, the fifth installment to The Fast and The Furious franchise. Gibson tweeted out set photos of the cast earlier this morning on his Twitter account.

The Fast Five cast will include stars from the previous installments such as Gibson, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, and Lucas Black. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has also signed on as a Detective in the film.

Fast Five is slated for a 2011 release with Justin Lin directing.

I’m glad they are bringing this one to Puerto Rico. Dwayne Johnson playing the detective chasing Paul Walker, Vin Diesels and the gang means we will probably have an awesome fight scene with Dwayne and Vin. A lot of stars from previous installments are coming back for this one, I just hope they dont bring back the redneck from the third movie.

64 year old Helen Mirren looking like a badass holding a gun = AWESOME. I just cant wait to see this movie.

Don’t really dig the title for the fifth installment of The Fast and The furious but anyways. Dwayne Johnson, also know as Wrestling champ The Rock, is joining the cast of Fast five. Cast member Tyrese Gibson confirmed it on his twitter. He also confirmed that Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Ludacris is back for the fifth movie.

A lot of people shit on The Fast and Furious movies but I enjoy them a lot for what they are. Dwayne joining the cast is shaping up to probably be the best of the franchise (wishful hoping).

The trailer for RED was so awesome. A new poster features a red Bruce Willis holding a handgun. This looks more like a poster for Die Hard 5 but I’m just glad Bruce is back in the shoot’em up type of movies

RED is set to be released October 15.

A new trailer for Centurion surfaced the web this week. I just hope the action scenes are awesome because they do look great from the trailer. The trailer is also in 1080p so be sure to check that out !!

With all these unnecessary reboot’s, remake’s and sequels Hollywood has lined up over these past 2-3 years, one movie that really needs a reboot is Mortal Kombat. I remember falling in love with the arcade games and the first MK movie growing up. WB is currently developing the ninth video game for the franchise and what seems to be a trailer or video intro for the game was later on confirmed by actress Jeri Ryan via twitter that this was a test shoot to get the a greenlight.

The young director, Kevin Tancharoen, is trying hard to get Warner Bros to green light a feature film of the franchise. Kevin released the short film presented and people are talking non stop about the film. It was a smart move to release this on the net, to show how the fans are really interested in this R rated version of Mortal Kombat. Who else but mister George Roush aKa El Guapo from latino review got the goods on the cast so here’s what he had to say.

The short was directed by Kevin Tancharoen, who did the remake of Fame last year. Judging from this short, Kevin is the perfect director for this movie.

Jacks is played by Michael Jai White. Michael played Spawn and was in Undisputed II. Michael makes a great Jacks (Jax).

Sonya Blade is played by Jeri Ryan, who played Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Voyager.

Baraka was played by the very talented Lateef Crowder, who plays the Brazilian fighter in Undisputed III.

Scorpion is played by Ian Anthony Dale. Ian plays Kazuya in the upcoming big screen version of Tekken.

Johnny Cage was played by up and coming martial arts sensation Matt Mullins.

Still working on who played Reptile. Will update when I find out.

The fight choreography was done by Larnell Stovall. Larnell did the fight choreography for Undisputed III and is one of the best fight choreographers in the business. I know who might be playing Sub-Zero, but don’t want to mention it in case it screws something up. He’d be perfect for the part.

I really really hope this gets made into a feature film cause the short film looks amazing and Kevin Tancharoen seems to be the perfect director for a Mortal Kombat reboot. Check out the video below.

I absolutely loved the first one when it came out. I’m not a big fan of subtitled movies (I watch movies so I dont have to read !!) but some movies are worth it and [REC] was worth watching and reading. I generally don’t like sequels to horror movies like this one because the suspense was pretty much revealed in the first one and all you have left for the sequel is pretty much gore from start to finish but this one seems to be pretty interesting.

A new trailer for Scott Pilgrim V.S. The World is available online and it looks freakin awesome. The comic book adaptation features Michael Cera, Chris Evans, Brandon Routh and the very beautiful Mary Elizabeth Winstead. What more needs to be said about this movie ?? Keep August 13 open in your schedule and go watch Scott Pilgrim V.S. The World.

The greatest sporting event on earth is only days away from starting and I’m sooooo anxious for the World Cup to start (Forza Azzurri !!).

I always love it when a big time director gets to direct a commercial because they get the budget and most important, great creativity. Two time Academy Award nominated writer/director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who is famous for directing Babel, 21 Grams and the current 63rd Cannes Festival favorite Biutiful, directed a commercial for Nike for the FIFA World Cup.

The commercial is titled Write the future and features superstar soccer players Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Landon Donovan, Ronaldinho and they also included Homer Simpson, LA Lakers Kobe Bryant and Tennis player Rodger Federer.

Worth the watch!

Big news on Transformers 3 hit the web yesterday. Transformers director, Michael Bay, has fired Megan Fox from the second sequel. Despite the set picture of Megan with the bumblebee camaro, Transformers 3 script is being re-written and Sam (Shia LaBeouf) will have a new love interest. Here’s what Deadline Hollywood got to share with us.

I’ve just learned that Paramount won’t be picking up Megan Fox’s option on Transformers 3 — and that it was “ultimately” director Michael Bay’s decision.
Right now Bay and writer Ehren Kruger et al are finishing up the script for the threequel and “giving Shia a new love interest makes more sense for the story,” an insider tells me. Bay will start casting immediately for the new female co-star.

I’ve said this many (and everybody else on the net) Megan may be one of the hottest chick on earth but she can’t act for shit. A part from her looking all sexy in Transformers and I don’t see what else will be missed from her.

More news as surfaced on who would potentially play Sam’s new love interest and it seem’s that Gemma Arterton is in final negotiations. She may not be as hot as Megan but at least she can act which is already a major upgrade.

The person I had in mind to play that part was Amber Heard.

UPDATE: Megan left the Transformers franchise

So it seems that Megan left Transformers 3 and that she didn’t get fired by mister Bay. Fox’s management told people magazine that she walked away from the franchise on her own terms.

Fox’s handlers tell People Magazine that the 24-year-old actress walked away from the film of her own accord and wishes the franchise the best. While this could be an effort to save face and put out the fires of headlines that read “Megan Fox Kicked Off Movie”, it’s easy to believe that with the animosity between them, she would save herself the trouble of working with Michael Bay again.

I call BULLSHIT. Why would someone walk away from one of the biggest movie franchise. You have to be either stupid or got an agreement with Paramounth Pictures to “protect” your celeb status. But also by comparing Bay to Hitler last year, she clearly doesn’t like working with the ego-maniac.

Which ever it may be doesn’t really matter because she will be replaced by another hottie and people will move on quickly from Megan Fox.

A new picture got released for the action/rom com starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Jen (Heigl) thinks she has found the perfect man, but she doesn’t know Spencer (Kutcher) actually works for the CIA and often spends his days chasing and killing criminals. Their life is about to take a turn for worse when they discover one of their friends is actually contracted to kill the couple.

Jerry Bruckheimer was out promoting his new movie Prince of Persia: Sand of Time at a press junket when someone asked the question all us Bad Boys fan’s want to know. Will there be a Bad Boys 3. The answer is, Maybe.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time press junket, and when the topic of a third installment of the popular Michael Bay-Will Smith-Martin Lawrence franchise came up, he responded with, “It’s a wish and a hope and a dream. We’ve been working on a screenplay, which is excellent. It’s an idea Will gave us, so hopefully, it will come to fruition, we would love it to.”

At least we know that they are really interested in getting a second sequel for the franchise, that Will Smith is very interested in reprising his role as Det. Mike Lowrey and that a script is currently being written for it.

All we have to do is cross our fingers and hope it gets picked up !!

The Killer Elite project just got one more player to the action spy flick. Robert De Niro has been approached to play Jason Statham’s mentor who gets kidnapped.

Based on the Ranulph Fiennes novel ‘The Feather Man’, Clive Owen will play the senior field operative of a secret group of former British special forces members fighting to protect the families of fellow SAS agents.
Jason Statham plays a former Navy SEAL who comes out of retirement in order to lead a team of assassins in pursuit of them. De Niro has been approached but has not yet been confirmed to play Statham’s mentor who has been kidnapped and is being used as leverage against him.
Along with De Niro, the cast will include Dominic Purcell (“Prison Break”), Yvonne Strahovski (“Chuck”), Aden Young (“The Starter Wife”), Ben Mendelsohn (“Vertical Limit”), Lachy Hulme (“The Matrix Revolutions”) and Firass Dirani (“Underbelly: The Golden Mile”).

I got very interested in this movie as soon as they mentioned Yvonne Strahovski to be in it. I really really hope she gets to do lots of action scenes in the movie because if your a chuck fan (like myself) you know she can handle herself very well.

Killer Elite looks pretty promising to be good action / spy movie. It’s what Statham does best and never disappoints.

OK so we FINALLY get a trailer for Jonah Hex and I’ve got two things to say about it.

I’m gonna start off by saying that Josh Brolin is fuckin badass has Jonah Hex. Perfect casting! The second thing is Megan Fox. Nothing personal but she just ruins every scene she is in.

Overall this looks like a fun action pack movie, it;s just too bad that the very beautiful Megan Fox is in it.

YAY!!! A brand new trailer was released for The A-Team and this movie looks like it’s gonna rock the blockbuster. 2010 looks pretty amazing with all the great movie releases.

I REALLY REALLY hope that rampage continues into the action genre movies. We all know that the action stars (like Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis and many more) has been extinct for the longest I can remember. The only current one I can think of is Jason Statham but we need more !!
